Pop Up Class: Let’s Learn Pencil Shading

This is a 2 class mini session to learn pencil shading

Ages: Open to Age 11 to adult (why not take a class together?!)

Want to up your pencil shading skills? In this class we’ll deep dive into pencil shading using a variety of drawing pencils and tools. Whether you are a beginner or an advanced artist, this class will help you become a more realistic drawer by helping you understand the importance of value and how to shade to make things look more 3D. We will cover a few techniques to shade using drawing pencils and other tools. Our project will be a detailed frosted cupcake. Because the focus of this class is shading, there will be tracers for the basic shape of the cupcake, icing and wrapper. This allows us to put the majority of our time and focus on shading! Those who are beginners can keep the icing and cupcake simple. Those that have more experience can add fancy toppings to their cupcakes. This class is limited to 10 students so that lots of individual help can be given.

Thursdays: Oct 2 and Oct 16 from 5-5:55 pm. (If you are in advanced Art you can just stay and have 2 hours and 15 minutes of art that night!)

Cancellation Policy:  For this class you can cancel up to 1 week before the start of class. There is a $10 relisting fee to cancel.  Cancellations after that date are not refundable.  You may find someone to take your spot in class.
